Life Transitions Therapy

Life changes — even the ones we choose and look forward to — can leave us feeling unsteady. At Wellness with Andrea Jakucs & Associates, we offer warm, supportive life transitions therapy for adults in the Pasadena area and by telehealth across California, helping you find your footing when the ground shifts beneath you.

When life changes, even good change can feel hard

A new job or a career change, marriage, becoming a parent, caring for aging parents, or the loss of someone you love can bring grief, anxiety, and questions about who you are now. For many Filipino Americans and other Asian Americans, these seasons can also stir family expectations, duty to parents, and questions about how faith and culture fit into the life you are building. Whatever the change, it makes sense that it feels big — and you do not have to navigate it alone.

How we support you through change

Your care is led by Andrea Cabrera Jakucs, a Filipino-American, Christian Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), together with our associate therapist, Elizabeth Tapang, AMFT. We take time to listen to your story and what this transition means to you, then draw on evidence-based approaches tailored to your values. If faith is part of your life, we can weave Christian faith into your care — always at your pace and only if you would like that. Together, we work toward steadier days and a clearer sense of what comes next.

Fees and getting started

Sessions are 53 minutes, held by secure telehealth. Private pay fees are $200 per session with Andrea Cabrera Jakucs, LCSW, and $135 per session with our associate therapist, Elizabeth Tapang, AMFT. We provide monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We also welcome clients using the accepted insurance plans listed on our Therapy page.

You do not need to have it all figured out to begin. If you are in the middle of a change — or one is coming — reach out. We would be glad to talk with you about what support could look like.
