Wellness Workshops

Andrea Cabrera Jakucs has conducted workshops for various nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies located in California to New York. Workshops are 1 hour per session except for Mental Health First Aid and can be conducted for an individual, couple, and an organization. Andrea is also open to modifying or creating any training or workshop to meet the needs of your organization. The workshops listed below are conducted for an individual, a couple, or for an organization.

“Wellness with Andrea Jakucs”- Select 3 from the 8 different wellness dimensions (social, emotional, spiritual, physical, occupational, financial, intellectual, environmental) that you want to learn about based upon your needs or preferences. Participants will evaluate their current wellness practice as well as discover different tools to enhance their practice. Participants will have A WELLNESS TOOLKIT at the end of the presentation.

"Coping with Stress during COVID-19"- Participants will learn about stress and coping tools to live their lives during this pandemic.

​

"Veterans Staying Well at Work"- Veterans will learn elements of wellness to sustain their work with Military Wife & Social Worker Andrea Jakucs. Andrea will share her husband's current wellness practices. Veterans will be able to reflect on which elements of wellness he/she/they feel strongly about and areas that may need improvement for optimal health.

"Let's Talk about Mental Health & Wellness"- Select one from the different mental health disorders (Depression, Anxiety & Stress, Grief & Loss, Substance Use) that you want to learn about.

​

"Nurses Staying Well at Work"- Nurses will learn about elements of spiritual, occupational, and emotional wellness to maintain his/her/their mental health at work.

"Managing Stress and Pressure at Work"- Participants will learn about the differences between stress and pressure. Participants will also be able to discuss ongoing struggles at work and learn coping tools to manage stress.

The workshops listed below are conducted for groups/organizations only.

​

"Adult Mental Health First Aid" - an 8-hour training for anyone 18 years and older who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. 

​

"Anger Management"- a 10-12 week treatment group to learn and develop skills that are necessary to manage anger (for California residents only)

​

"Adapting When Life Gets Tough"- 6-week psycho-educational group about depression in older adults 

​

"Seeking Safety"- a 10-25 week treatment group using an evidence-based present-focused counseling model to help people attain safety from trauma and/or substance abuse. It is an extremely safe model as it directly addresses both trauma and addiction, but without requiring clients to delve into the trauma narrative.(for California residents only)
