What makes me different from other therapists or social workers?
I am extremely passionate about providing the highest quality of mental health treatment and truly care about each of my client's progress in treatment and meeting his/her/their needs. I have incorporated art, music, Jenga, card games, and more in treatment in addition to talk therapy. I believe that psychotherapy can be a fun learning experience as well as talking about the struggles of daily life. I use worksheets and/or workbooks in session for you to gain more insight into your condition and assign homework as needed. I also provide linkages to community resources that may support your treatment, and I am open to discuss your spiritual practices if you prefer or have one.

Why should you seek psychotherapy?
I recommend psychotherapy if you are ready to challenge your negative thoughts, want to change your unhealthy habits, need to seek clarity in some areas of your life, need to work through a traumatic experience, and/or ready to grow, learn, or feel better as a person. Moreover, your mental health symptoms may get worse if you do not seek treatment immediately. I believe that everyone should go to psychotherapy at some point in their life because life can be unbearable at times, and a psychotherapist can help you during your difficult time.

How do I pay for a psychotherapy service?
I accept private pay via Zelle, Venmo, Ivy Pay (using your HSA, FSA), and Paypal. I also accept Lyra, Corporate Counseling Associates (CCA) EAP, Concern EAP, META, Cigna/Evernorth, Health Net/MHN, Solidarity, and United Healthcare/Optum health insurance. I offer limited slots for sliding scale/lower fees upon request. In addition, my clients have me as their "out-of-network mental health provider." Many insurance plans provide full or partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. You may verify this benefit by contacting your insurance company and asking if they reimburse at all for seeing an out-of-network mental health provider. If they do, I am able to provide you with a statement after your session called a "superbill," which contains the necessary information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim. Feel free to email me at info@wellnesswithandreajakucs.com or call/text me at (626) 714-8258 if you have further questions.
